Specialty pharmacy is the term used to describe certain medications and a set of services designed to meet the particular needs of people who take medications to treat certain conditions such as anemia/neutropenia, cancer, cystic fibrosis, deep vein thrombosis, Gaucher's disease, growth hormone deficiency, hepatitis C, immune deficiency, erectile dysfunction, infertility, multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and respiratory syncytial virus. Many of these medications require injection and have special shipping and handling needs. These medications could also be oral or infusion medications.

| Q. How do I know if I am eligible to receive services through the Medco Special Care Pharmacy? |

A. You may be eligible to receive specialty pharmacy services through the Special Care Pharmacy if your plan sponsor includes these services as part of your prescription drug plan, and if you are taking a covered specialty medication. | Q. What additional services will I receive through the Medco specialty pharmacy service? |
A. Members who are eligible for Special Care Pharmacy will receive support from pharmacists and nurses who are trained in specialty pharmacy medications, their side effects, and the conditions they treat. Also, because many of these medications require injection or special handling, members will receive:
- Expedited shipping of specialty medications to their home or doctor's office.
- Supplemental supplies, such as needles and syringes, that are needed to administer the medication.
- Scheduling of refills and coordination of services with home care providers, case managers, and doctors or other healthcare professionals.

A. The additional services available through the Medco Special Care Pharmacy are only for your specialty medications.

| Q. Will I pay for shipping of my specialty medications? |

A. No. There is no charge for expedited delivery of specialty medications that are delivered Monday through Friday. Shipping charges may apply for weekend deliveries based on your individual medical needs.

| Q. How long will it take to get my specialty medications? |
|
A. We schedule delivery of your specialty medications so you can receive them where and when you need them. All specialty medications are scheduled deliveries via UPS or similar service, shipped within one-to-two-days of the order at no additional charge. Additional charges may apply for weekend deliveries. Weekend delivery charges are reviewed based on individual medical needs.
