Hi CHRIS
I am your computer-generated Online Health Coach. I'll teach you how to improve your health and cheer you on as we go through your program.

I can only show you the way. It is up to you to take charge. Good health doesn't just happen. You have to work for it, even if it takes many tries. I can make it easier. I know you can do this - and you will. Let's get started.

Below is an explanation of how your plan was created and how it can help you succeed in your health goals. You can always return to this page by clicking on the Program Info link at the top of the page.

How does your program work?

In one central spot, I bring together programs designed just for you to help you live a healthier lifestyle. Your program was designed based on what you said in your assessment.

For each part of your program, there are five levels. Each level brings you a step closer to healthier living with three informative articles, a handy tool and a very short quiz to show you much you have learned. After the quiz, I move you to the next level. Along the way, I offer you great menu and exercise planners and guide you in choosing and tracking meals and exercise. Even after you finish all the levels, you can go back to any article to re-read them. You can also keep using the tools and meal and exercise planners.

To ensure this program works appropriately on your computer you will need to take the following two steps:

Stress

The material in the stress program reflects how you responded to my questions. I'll help you learn how to cope better with your general stress. I have some tools to help you deal with many types of stress.

Nutrition

Based on your lightly active lifestyle, I figured out that you need 2200 calories each day. The information you gave in the assessment helped me figure out how to gear your program toward your goals and determine how much weight to lose. I also have a Meal Planner for you. When you go to the Nutrition Program, click on "Your Meals" to use an easy plan for tracking your meals and calories.

Exercise

You said you have a lightly active lifestyle. So I used that information to craft an exercise program for you, giving you exercises and tips to help you be at your healthiest.

Your answers helped me calculate your maximum heart rate to be 138.0 beats a minute. I don't want you to reach that because it could be dangerous. We'll talk about that and more in the Exercise Program.

Your Message Center

I created messages just for you. So at each level of your program, I will send you these messages meant to encourage you to stick with your program and to tell you about the information you can expect for each step in your program.

Advancing through the levels

As I mentioned earlier, each part of your program has several levels. Each level has articles, a slideshow, tools, and a quiz. These are meant to educate you about healthier living. The tools help you put the information you just learned to use. You cannot jump from one level to the next without having taken and passed the quiz. The quizzes feature five or six questions. Once you "graduate" at Level 5, you are armed with the knowledge for living a healthier life.

You can re-visit any of the articles at any time, no matter if you are the middle of the program or finished with with all the levels.
